Main responsibilities

• Teaching and implementing the school’s curriculum outcomes based on the IB PYP approach of inquiry-based learning and the PYP units of inquiry. I also focused on creating a positive learning environment for my students.
• Subjects taught were literacy, mathematics, UOI, and science through the PYP framework
• As a homeroom teacher, I was also responsible for the timely and accurate input of assessment data through both formative and summative approaches.
• Coordinated field trips that aligned with curriculum objectives, broadening students'' understanding of subject material through experiential learning.
• As the Mathematics Curriculum Leader, I was responsible for curriculum development and implementation, teacher support and professional development, monitoring and assessment, instructional leadership and prompting stakeholder communication and engagement (parents).

• I successfully navigated the challenges of my first year in the PYP curriculum, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment for my students.
• As the Mathematics Curriculum Leader, I conducted a comprehensive review of the existing maths curriculum and introduced an entirely new one, significantly enhancing the teaching and learning of mathematics across the school.
• I delivered CPD sessions to all primary and Early Years staff, as well as organising and hosting a mathematics conference for schools in the Southeast Asia region, featuring the mathematics consultant Ms. Elizabeth Gibbs as the keynote speaker, which was a significant highlight.
• I also kept parents informed on changes that were being implemented by hosting information talks and workshops to help them understand the new approach to the subject of mathematics the school was undertaking.

• Achieving fully registered teacher status and securing a permanent job at my probation school after just 1 year.
• I worked as part of a team-teaching classroom with 35 Year 1 pupils, this enabled me to learn from my colleagues daily and developed my already strong teamwork ethos.
• I worked with children with educational needs such as dyslexia and autism, this has helped me to understand how to help these children succeed in the classroom and develop with their peers.
• Working at a school which consistently ranks as one of the top primary schools in the UK helped me to develop a high level of professionalism at an early stage of my career and has helped me immensely.

Main responsibilities

• Teaching English as an additional language to adults seeking to improve their language skills for business purposes and to a lesser extent for social purposes.

Major achievements

• Becoming a certified Cambridge Teacher in relation to teaching English as a foreign language.
• I gained valuable experience working in a non-English speaking country and realised my love for teaching, whilst also gaining experience with lesson planning.
